Hotel Baita Dovich

Small friendly hotel next to the piste at the base of the Marmolada. The food is excellent, the atmosphere relaxed and the staff are all wonderful. Thoroughly recommended.

Great family atmosphere, excellent food, perceptible elegance in every place.Very close to the Marmolada cable car. Very close to the Sottoguda gorge.

We went for a four day weekend of skiing in the Marmolada area and while the skiing was fantastic as always in the Dolomites, the stay at Baita Dovich made our short holiday a truly special and memorable occasion. From the welcoming and personal nature of the staff, to the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, the cozy bar and the perfect ski-in ski-out slopeside location, we enjoyed every minute. But the best of all was the quality of the food, perfectly presented, regional and high quality, it really made the trip. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect. The house itself is traditional but equipped with modern facilities. The room was spacious enough for a family with children. The view from the balcony is picturesque. We were right at New Years Eve and there was not a lot of snow so we had to go on foot for about 10 meters to the slope but it can’t be compared with going by car to the lift. It is just to warm up. When there is more snow you can get to the slope and come back on your skis.
The sauna is brand new and really hot with a beautiful view to the forest from the window.
The most fascinating for us was the kitchen. Many thanks to the chef and all the staff for the amazing food we had on New Years Eve!! 9 perfect dishes and prosecco as a final countdown!! Every other dinner we were served new dishes. Every dinner was unique and full of surprises. We recommend to book half board for sure. Such good kitchen is worth trying!
The wine card should be seen.. it is not possible to describe.
We had a feeling that we came to our relatives' house for Christmas.

The atmosphere was very friendly there and the service perfect, the staff is very nice. It was our second stay at the hotel. We spent there a very nice skiing holiday again. We look forward to the next holiday at the Hotel Baita Dovich.

We spent a wonderful extended weekend in this hotel. Though we arrived very late (2 am), the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean with separate showers and the service excellent. The hotel provided a ski-storage and boots drying room. We had access to the ski slopes directly in front of the hotel. Our stay was very enjoyable and we would recommend the hotel to our friends and family.

Once again a superb holiday at the Baita Dovich in the wonderful Dolomites. Despite our late arrival due to the weather we received a warm welcome from Manuela and food was provided. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of room for 3 guys not to be in each others way with plenty of hot water for showering. Skiing from in front of the hotel in the morning and back to the hotel from the Mamolada at night is brilliant. The staff were all efficient and friendly and the food was as always authentic and delicious. Will definitely not be my last visit to a marvellous hotel. Well done all.

It was our 9th stay in this hotel and it was again absolutely perfect. The restaurant serves the best food in the Dolomites.
Services are at a high level!

Once again myself and my two sons were warmly welcomed to Baita Dovich by Manuela Chizzali and her husband Sr Rossi and their wonderful staff. We had a lovely week's skiing, the lack of snow at the hotel altitude was disappointing but not major a problem as the hotel arranged a minibus to the lifts. The owners and staff are always warm and friendly and were always happy to help us. I can't believe how hard they work. I think we were the only visitors from the UK that week but that really wasn't a problem - why travel just to end up with your compatriots? The hotel is set apart from other buildings and is not near to shops, which completely suited us but would not suit someone who wanted these things. However, shops are within easy reach by car (a hire car is probably essential here). I am sure we will visit Baita Dovich again.

Nice family hotel, delicious food, nice and helpful staff. Very excellent location, the ski slopes are just in front on the hotel. Everything, including accommodation, was really very nice. Thank you for a pleasant stay. We will come again definitely.

We just returned from a short stay at Baita Dovich and truly enjoyed every moment of our trip. The location cannot be beaten - close to towns but secluded enough to feel like you are the only one enjoying these mountains. The staff is extremely personable and they spoke enough English to make up for our terrible Italian. The food was top-notch and the wine selection was small but perfect.
The best part about the service was their attention to detail. I am gluten-free and had noted that on my reservation. I did not mention again at check-in or as we walked into the dining room. When we sat down, our server (who was also the registration clerk) said, "Ms. Oltman, the chef has selected a gluten-free menu for you tonight. Rest-assured we will take care of your food allergy." And I had no reaction to any of the food. I was blown away by their concern for me and the thoughtfulness that went into their planning.
They also helped us dig our car out from under the snow (like 3-4 feet of snow!) and loaned us snow chains for our tires. Incredibly welcoming and hospitable, we will be returning to Baita Dovich in the future.

We had a fantastic skiing holiday as usual. We have stayed at Baita Dovich 4 times now and can not fault it. The facilities to store our skis and snowboards is perfect and door to door skiing is essential. The owners Manuela and Jacob are so so welcoming and friendly as are all their staff who have been there since our first visit. Nothing is too much trouble. Meals are excellently cooked, taste delicious and look mouth watering lovely. The rooms are warm, comfortable and extremely spacious. Can not wait until next January when all 21 of us will be returning plus some more friends and family.

I've just returned from a short ski holiday with my two sons at the Baita Dovich. The warmth and kindness of the staff was outstanding - it is clear that the hotel has a very strong family ethos, from both the profile of the guests and the management style. The location is perfect for skiing, literally ski-out & ski-in with direct access to the superb "Super-Dolomiti" ski area. The food was excellent, particularly the special New Year dinner of innumerable courses which was included at no extra cost. I noticed that people who were not hotel guests would also come to Baita Dovich to eat. The room was comfortable, clean & spacious. We would love to return, and hope to persuade my daughter and wife to join us another time! The hotel would not suit those who are looking for a hectic night life and it's not within walking distance of a town or shops. This is not a problem for those who want a good day's skiing after a good night's sleep! When we were there the other guests were all Italian which we liked.
